When shopping for ethical products, Vegamour is a top brand when it comes to hair growth products. With plenty of raving Vegamour reviews and higher-than-average prices, it’s natural to wonder if the brand is worth investing in.

Keep reading to learn more about the brand and read my experience with some of their hair growth products.

What is Vegamour?

To start, Vegamour is a plant-based, cruelty-free, gluten-free brand that sells hair growth products as well as brow and lash products.

Their top-rated formulas have been raved about by social media, magazines, and reviews.

Vegamour Overview

Vegamour takes a “holistic approach” to hair growth products, claiming to use natural ingredients and avoiding anything harsh or toxic. They offer a lot of different products that are targeted towards hair growth—from lash products to serums to brows, there’s something for everyone.

On average, you can expect to pay around $40–$60 for a typical Vegamour product. However, some items are cheaper too (like their $28 dry shampoo or $32 scalp serum).

To get more specific prices for the items you want, it’s best to browse their collection. They also offer a variety of kits that allow you to save on bundles.

You can also subscribe and save to get 15% off your order, which can save a good chunk of change. This will sign you up for recurring shipments every 30 days, but you can skip or cancel at any time.

Vegamour Reviews

Note: Vegamour sent me a few products for free and I also purchased a few myself, but my opinions remain 100% honest.

MY VEGAMOUR EXPERIENCE (6-Month Update)

I have been using mainly their ENSO shampoo and conditioner targeted for fine hair. I also have the GRO Serum, but I am fairly inconsistent with applying it (I probably remember to do it 2x per week). The shampoo and conditioner are much easier for me to remember.

The biggest result I have noticed is significantly more (and stronger) baby hairs around the front of my hairline. I’m so happy about this because this was one thing I was hoping for – I have always felt like the front of my hairline looked so thin, but these baby hairs are helping so much.

Now, if I put my hair in a ponytail, these hairs are flying out all over the place and I have to actually manage them. I’ve never experienced this before.

I also tried their mixed berry drink mix and never really used it, I wasn’t a fan of the flavor. I loved the idea of an easy drink mix (especially because there was no added sugar), but I couldn’t force myself to drink it. Maybe their other flavors are better?

The only downside is how long it took to see actual hair growth, I almost got discouraged and stopped using them after months had passed with no change. I have only recently started seeing serious results and I have been using the products for 6 months, so you really need to power through.

I also hate that you need to continue buying their products in order to keep your results, but I love the results so it might just be worth it.

I refuse to touch their eyelash serums because it has bimatoprost (listed on their ingredients page). This ingredient lengthens the lashes, but a side effect that many people experience is the darkening of the iris. No thank you!

Vegamour Ratings

Overall: ★★★★ 4 stars

I have had a great experience with this brand so far, but not all Vegamour reviews say the same. Many customers are more than happy with Vegamour products, but some say they didn’t see results.

I absolutely loved the results, but I will say that the products took a fairly long time to work, which could be one reason that there are a lot of negative reviews. Many people don’t have the patience to wait 4+ months to see results.

I have been using them for 6+ months and just recently started seeing serious results.

Also, in their FAQ, Vegamour states that if you stop using their products, your hair will return to its natural state in a few months (so you have to buy their products for life if you want to keep the results). This can be a major downside that someone should know about before they buy.

Price: ★★ 2 stars

Vegamour products can be a tad pricey, with their eyelash serum clocking in at $59 and their advanced hair serum at $68. They do have other cheaper products that are below $40, but overall, the brand is definitely a splurge.

Even worse than the price per product is the fact that you need to essentially buy these products for life if you want to keep the results. You may be more than willing to pay for results, but it’s worth mentioning. You’ll pretty much need to add Vegamour to your list of monthly expenses.

Quality: ★★★★★ 5 stars

For customers who had a good experience with the products, they say the quality is exceptional. However, for those who didn’t have a great experience, they say the products don’t work at all.

Personally, I have had an amazing experience with Vegamour products, so I gave them a 5-star rating. The first few months weren’t great and I really didn’t see many results, but it’s understandable that it takes a few months for new hair growth to show.

Value: ★★★★ 4 stars

Many people who experienced results they were looking for state that the value is well worth it, despite the prices being a splurge and the fact that you need to buy their products for life.

Personally, I do think Vegamour is worth the money, but this might not be the case if you don’t have the money to spare.

GRO+ Advanced Hair Serum Review

Price: $68

This volumizing hair serum is one-of-a-kind. This serum incorporates all of the elements needed to combat hair loss from a variety of sources.

Their holistic serum is not only soothing, but is also believed to help activate DHT & miRNA22 production, as well as regulate circulation in the scalp. And, let’s not forget its ability to also strengthen the health of our roots overall.

They advertise fuller-looking hair in just 90 days and peak results at 120 days with this serum!

CHEAPER ALTERNATIVE: If you can’t afford Vegamour’s prices, check out The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Hair Serum. According to Vegamour reviews, this is a dupe with similar ingredients and helps regrow the hair.

GRO+ Advanced Lash Serum Review

Price: $78

The Vegamour lash serums are another of their top products! The GRO+ Advanced in particular is a best-seller that people love.

This serum is made using full-spectrum CBD to penetrate your lashes on a deeper level, promoting new growth and thicker, fuller lashes. And of course, it is 100% cruelty-free and vegan.

Note: This product is made with bimatoprost (see their ingredients page). This does a great job at lengthening the lashes for many people, but a fairly common side effect is the permanent darkening of the iris.

If you purchase this serum, make sure to apply it very carefully and don’t get it in your eyes. Personally, I wouldn’t take the risk!

ENSO Shampoo & Conditioner

Price: $38 each

The ENSO line of shampoos and conditioners is the same as their GRO shampoos, but they add micro-encapsulated full-spectrum hemp into the formula that helps calm and soothe the scalp.

The ENSO line also has formulas dedicated to specific hair (including thin, medium, and thick hair) for more personalized results.

Personally, the shampoo and conditioners are my favorite Vegamour product. They are much easier for me to incorporate into my routine, it’s more difficult for me to remember the serum or other products I don’t typically use.

What Customers Are Saying

What do customers think about this brand? Reviews on this brand seem to be all over the place. You can find reviews both on their website as well as outside websites. Here’s a look at what some buyers had to say:

“I’ve been using Vegabrow for four weeks now, and I’m impressed. I thought maybe my brows are just growing like normal, but now I’ve noticed they’ve gotten thicker in places they never would grow before. I definitely would recommend it.” – Abby, Vegamour.com

“Love this stuff. I started noticing my hair thinning, tried so many different products, but this stuff really does work. Just be patient, and you will start to notice a difference within a few weeks.” – Ally, Amazon.com

“I used this product on a daily basis for eight months and did not see any results. I am very disappointed in this product. The claims for hair growth are not true.” – Beverly B, Amazon.com

All in all, there are a few takeaways that most customers seem to agree on. Here are the main points of feedback, according to Vegamour reviews:

  • Some say they experienced hair growth and strength
  • Others say they didn’t see results
  • Prices can be expensive, but products are typically long-lasting
  • Might be a worthy investment if it works for you
  • Some recommend trying The Ordinary’s hair serum first before splurging on Vegamour

Return Policy

According to Vegamour’s return policy, you have 90 days from the date of purchase to return or exchange an item. You can be refunded to your original payment method or store credit and must pay $5 for return shipping (plus, the shipping fee on your initial order isn’t refundable).

Exchanges, however, are free!

Bottom Line: Is Vegamour Worth It?

Personally, I do think Vegamour is worth it as I have started experiencing one result that I was hoping for. That being said, some people see great results while others see none, so you can’t really know for sure if it will work for your hair.

Luckily, the brand offers a 90-day return policy in case it doesn’t work out.

If you’re struggling with hair loss or thinning hair and are willing to take the risk, it may very likely be worth it!

I would also recommend trying other options first if the cost is hard to swallow–such as natural DIY hair growth methods (like castor oil) and the The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Hair Serum. This product offers similar ingredients, many reviews see great results, and it is significantly cheaper.

Note: When looking for lash serums, be careful with products that include bimatoprost. This does a great job at lengthening the lashes, however, a common side effect is the permanent darkening of the iris (there are other side effects too such as blurred vision and eyelid redness). So, if you love your eye color, you may not want to take the risk with their lash products!
